It is a great game – if you haven’t got your copy of mass effect2 yet you really need to grab it (best place is Amazon – see side bar – and if your in the uk..) – we have got a new guest poster who is going to do a quick post or two detailing his experiences of the game so far – so keep your eyes peeled – and if you want to write about the latest and greatest mass effect game then comment on this blog!

The mini game for the iphone is to be entitled ‘Mass Effect: Jacob’s Story’ – a title that may suggest that the leading protagonist for the sequel to mass effect 1 will be called Jacob, however it could just be a red herring offshoot. Leaked, the subgame’s character (Jacob) is a ‘biotic-powered super-soldier who stumbles across a plot to terrorize civilizations greatest beacon of hope’ – this sounds like it should be a great little game on the i phone. Described as a birds eye view shooter (much like the original grand theft auto games) Jacob can presumably shoot his way through multiple levels. Supposedly the game should last around 2 hours, providing a good amount of gameplay for the cheap £3 pricetag.

“We were going to announce this, but one of the testers at a focus testing group broke the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and things were revealed before we had the chance,” said BioWare community manager Chris Priestly on the bioware forums.

If you did not buy the original limited edition masseffect1 then you may not have seen this, if your a fan you should definitely give it some time. Split into two parts here is the Making of Mass Effect video. Note the repetitive signing in with XBOX live and the many an interesting discussion with the developers!

With heinsight though there really should have been a market for a game guide producer to make a guide solely about mass effect, and by the looks of it this isnt going to be a missed opportunity with mass effect 2.

This sounds like it might mean theres some more blue alien sex in the games sequel (well as close to alien lesbianism as you could call a sex scene…its not really the full shabang but was considered contreversial as the first time anything happens in games always is.)

This is a pretty small story but we like to keep you updated. Mass effect 2 will never be full on porn, and that is a good thing. Another few days less to wait for the next big game of 2009 – we here at mass effect 2 cant wait for the Liara scene, even if its contextualised ;)
