The wonder that is bioware have released some new mass effect 2 videos, screenshots and game media!!!

The e3 show is always a great source of upcoming video game news, previews and sneaky releases. This year Mass Effect 2 from bioware featured in e3 and launched first a prelude to e3 2009 trailer (below) and then also a mid show trailer for the 2009 release of the Mass Effect game (mass effect 2.)

So watch this e3 mass effect 2 trailer and see – did shepard die? is he/she now a Geth? its not exactly confirmed but enjoy this wonderful sneak peak at mass effect 2, from E3 (courtesy of game trailers.)

Last friday Mass Effect 2 creator’s Bioware announced formally that they intend to make a spin off game for the iphone, to compliment mass effect 2. The mini game for the iphone is to be entitled ‘Mass Effect: Jacob’s Story’ – a title that may suggest that the leading protagonist for the sequel to mass effect 1 will be called Jacob, however it could just be a red herring offshoot. Leaked, the subgame’s character (Jacob) is a ‘biotic-powered super-soldier who stumbles across a plot to terrorize civilizations greatest beacon of hope’ – this sounds like it should be a great little game on the i phone. Described as a birds eye view shooter (much like the original grand theft auto games) Jacob can presumably shoot his way through multiple levels. Supposedly the game should last around 2 hours, providing a good amount of gameplay for the cheap £3 pricetag.

“We were going to announce this, but one of the testers at a focus testing group broke the NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and things were revealed before we had the chance,” said BioWare community manager Chris Priestly on the bioware forums.

The first game (mass effect 1) was released in a special “limited edition” release (Mass Effect 1 Limited Edition Copy) – but will mass effect 2 get a similar release? We haven’t heard anything from bioware on this yet but as fans of the first games extra exclusives we would love to see another version with the new game. If they make a mass effect 2 limited edition no doubt there will be a huge number of people buying that over the regular copy of the game, especially as such a cult following now cant wait for the game to be released. We expect there to be a special limited edition version of mass effect 2, but we might have to wait for it – if the additional extra’s like documentary’s stories, videos etc about the game are included it might take them a while to record/ get these ready – but definitely where with the first mass effect buyers may have cautiously brought a non limited edition copy, anyone who did play the first one is likely to buy the full version with all the extras of the second game – because it captivated its audience so well.
